Pony Club Centre Halloween Party

Another very successful evening organised and run by the Pony Club Committe comprising of Carys Morgan, Chloe Reakes, Sarah Blake, Carys Reville, Lucy Street, Malissa Yates, Libby John and Millie Bushrod. The event was open to everyone and the committee raised enough money to hire a bouncey castle, rodeo bull, Disco, Sumo wrestling and Gladiator Jousting.

Fun Dog Show

Organised by the Pony Club committee to raise funds for the Halloween Party. The event included Fun dog showing classes ie prettiest dog, Waggiest Tail etc and also a dog agility class.

Centre Equitation Competition, Derby

Pony Club Centre Team Chloe Reakes, Sarah Blake, Zoe Morgan and Molly Groves represented Talygarn at the Pony Club Championships Derby Tuesday August 18th. Chloe and Sarah rode a Dressage test on Fred and jumped a course of show jumps and Zoe and Molly did the same on Lucky. All team members rode very well and scored some high scores. The team were place 3rd overall from 23 teams and Chloe and Zoe received 5th in their individual groups and Sarah was the winner of her individual group. Photos can be found on the Gallery

The Pony Club Horse and Pony Care Competition April 7th 2009

This year the competition was held in Bwlch near Brecon by the Brecon and Talybont Hunt Branch of the Pony Club. The competiton comprises of a variety of tasks the children have to complete, i.e. plaiting, bandaging, assembling a bridle, recognition and general knowledge. The senior Team from Talygarn were Chloe Reakes Carys Morgan and Emily Hunt and they came 2nd and the Juniors teams were Carys Reville, Kate Owen Zoe Hughes 7th and Libby John, Millie Bushrod and Zoe Morgan

The Pony Club Area Quiz Bonvilston Feb 2009

The Pony Club Area 10 Quiz was hosted by the Glamorgan Pony Club at the Reading Rooms in Bonvilston. Two Teams from Talygarn were entered made up of Chloe Reakes, Carys Morgan, Carys Reville and Angharad Davies known as Talygarn 1 and Eleri Cadreman, Sarah Blake, Lucy Street and Zoe Hughes made up Talygarn 2. The Pony Club Equitation Competition Thursday 21st August held at the Pony Club Championships in Derby

Team Carys Morgan 15 Sarah Blake 14 Carys Reville 13 and Sophie Goddard 12 rode in the competition which included Dressage and Show Jumping . The team were third overall. The Competition at Talygarn went well despite the horrendous rain. Well done to the winner Victoria Tamplin riding Cefn Gelli Totality from the Llangeinor Hunt Branch of the Pony Club and the runner up Sarah Williams riding Tom from the David Davis. They will both go on to the finals in Warwickshire. Also well done to Carys Morgan riding Storm from Talygarn Pony Club Centre who was 5th in the warm up class

This team will now go on to represent Talygarn in the National Quiz Finals at Warwickshire at the end of March.
