Talygarn Equestrian Centre offer a variety of activities for both children and adults
Annual Open Evening and BBQ
July 11th 1pm 2010
A very entertaining and enjoyable evening for the whole family.
Riding displays performed by students and clients.
A fantastic Musical Ride in Welsh Costume with a nail biting finale, a Show Jumping display, Gymkhana Games, Barrel Racing and a Mini Pony Club Display was held in 2009. Photos from 2009 can be viewed in our gallery
School Holiday Activities
- Pony Days - Suitable for 5yrs and over. Learn to look after ponies, including riding.
- Christmas Gymkhana - Open to all. Festive fun, lots of rosettes to be won.
- Camp - Suitable for 8yrs and over. Held during the summer holidays.
Children's Birthday Parties
An unusual and fun birthday party. Suitable
for rider's and non-riders. Using our quiet ponies spending an hour playing games on ponies with rosettes for everyone. Room available to eat if required
Halloween Party
Saturday October 30th 2010
Social evening held every year, organised and run by a committee of Pony Club Centre members.
Great fun for all with Rodeo Bull, Bouncey Castles etc and DJ. Fancy Dress optional
Show Jumping Competitions
Throughout the school holiday periods Show Jumping competitions are held for the Clients of the riding school, generally on a Thursday starting at 10am, Everyone is welcome to borrow a school pony/horse and enter. Classes start very small for lead rein and beginners and go up to a maximum of 2'3. There are also classes for pairs and Bareback jumping, See Activities Dates below for the next competition. Christmas Gymkhana
The christmas gymkhana is held every year on the 23rd December 10am till 3pm. The ponies are decorated in tinsel and christmas baubles. Games are played on the ponies with lots of rossettes to win and there are prizes for the best christmas costumes. Photos from last year are on the Gallery
Millbrook Riding Club
Millbrook Riding Club meet on a Monday evening at Talygarn Equestrian Centre The Club is open to anyone with their own horse who wishes to come along for lessons see their website at www.millbrookridingclub.co.uk
